After their 8-game winning streak ended, SCF Basketball bounced back in a big way, defeating Pensacola State College 69-65 in a battle of top-10 teams in the State.

The Manatees had a comfortable 31-23 lead at halftime before being outscored in the 2nd half 38-42.

Ronnail Tape and Skylar Wicks led the way for the Manatees with 16 points each. Cobey Harrayway finished third on the team with 10 points. Off the bench, Isaiah Josue contributed 9 points of his own and Dresean Knight chipped in 6.

SCF had 10 blocked shots, one of their higher outputs of the year in that stat category. Josh Ijeh had 4, Dresean Knight had 3, Skylar Wicks had 2.

The Manatees enter the back half of their schedule when they return to play on December 30 against Chipola College. SCF will not return home until 2023 when they open up conference play against Hillsborough Community College on Wednesday, January 11 at 7:00 PM.
