Basketball Wins 7th Straight, Taking Down Polk 79-69

In what was a highly-spirited and highly-contested game, SCF Basketball won their 7th in-a-row with a win over Polk State College 79-69.

The game was low-scoring in the first half, before both teams came out firing on all cylinders in the 2nd. The Manatees widened their 2 point lead at the half, scoring 48, including a clutch 3-point shot in the game's final seconds.

SCF starters carried the load, with 4 starters scoring at least 10 points. Cobey Harraway led the team with 19 points. Ronnail Tape finished 2nd with 14 total points. Combined, SCF starters shot 23-29 (74.3%) from the floor. As a team, the Manatees shot 53.1% from the floor to Polk's 41.2%.

From the reserves, Ametri Moss had a solid game, shooting 4-6 from the floor and 1-1 from beyond the arc. Moss finished with 9 total points.

The Manatees out-rebounded Polk 40-27, including a whopping 31 defensive rebounds. Every player that made an appearance in the game for SCF had at least 1 rebound.

SCF looks for their 8th straight win as they take on Gulf Coast State Sunday at 1:00 PM ET.
