Manatees Win 6th Straight

SCF Men's Basketball put together a dominant performance, defeating St. Petersburg College by a score of 88-52.

The game was never particularly close, as SCF led at the hale 46-24. SCF never let their foot off the gas, while playing perhaps their best defensive game of the year, allowing just 28 points in the 2nd half with St. Pete looking to close the gap.

Skylar Wicks led the Manatees once again with 22 points. Wicks was 7-14 from the floor and 4-8 from beyond the 3-point line. Cobey Harraway was the only other Manatee in double-digits. He finished with 11. The rest was distributed quite evenly, as five players scored at least 8 points or more. 10 different players had at least 4 points.

SCF distributed the ball quite well, finishing with 28 total assists. Malyk Rebetez led the way with 9.

The Manatees out-rebounded St. Petersburg 47-43, including 37 defensive rebounds to St. Pete's 23. Elijah Terry led the Manatees with 9 total rebounds, including 8 defensive boards. Skylar Wicks chipped in 7 of his own, all defensive rebounds.

The Manatees will look to make it 7 in-a-row when they take on Polk State, Friday December 2nd.
