SCF Athletes Hit the Books in All Academics


Bradenton, Fla - While all the SCF student-athletes do their part on the athletic side on the courts and fields, they also continue to excel off the courts and fields and in the classroom in all of the FCSAA, with 23 listed on the NJCAA All-Academic First, Second and Third Teams. All six of the programs were recognized as NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.

Sun Lakes All-Academic Team:

Eight players from the SCF volleyball team were named to Sun Lakes All-Academic Team. Additionally, as a team, the indoor team was named one of nine NJCAA teams to receive the United States Marine Corps/AVCA Team Academic Award, while having the highest GPA amongst all indoor volleyball teams in the FCSAA.

Southern Conference Academic Team:

Seven players from the SCF basketball team, who maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher were named to the All-Academic Team in the Southern Conference:
