Bio

2021-2022 Season: Zach Smith chose to Red-Shirt during the 2021-2022 season for the Manatees. Zach didn’t appear in a game last season, but he brought a competitiveness to practice every day. Zach also spent a lot of time in the weight room as he worked to prepare his body for the college game.

High School: Zach grew up in Hartford, CT, but moved to florida during high school. After his senior year he transferred to Hoosac School in New York to use a post-graduate year. During his year at Hoosac, Zach averaged 15.3PPG 4.7RPG and 3.2APG. 

Personal: Zach is the son of Althea Smith, and he has no siblings. Zach will complete his Associate’s degree from SCF in the spring of 2023 and is currently undecided with what he will major in.

 "Zach is a dynamic combo guard who is very crafty. He knows how to get to his spot, and finish plays. Zach never takes a day off, and he is extremely coachable and a very quick learner. Zach maximized his red shirt year to get in shape, get stronger, and adjust to the college level."
