Bradenton, Fla - The State College of Florida women continued their winning ways Tuesday defeating Hillsborough Community College, by a score of 9-0, at the SCF tennis courts. SCF started the match cruising through the doubles winning all three matches while losing only 2 games. Natella Nabieva ranked fourth nationally got the Manatee’s rolling with a 6-0, 6-0 of Jovana Milosevic at #1 singles. The Manatee’s won #3-6 singles in straight sets losing a total of just 5 games.
In the toughest match of the day SCF’s number 2 player Miranda Talbert ranked 19 nationally came from behind in the first set to a 7-5 win. She took the second set, by a score of 6-3, besting #44 Julianna Goncalves at the number two spot.
The next match for the 2-0 Manatee’s will be the #13 Florida State College of Jacksonville on Sunday at 10 a.m. at the SCF tennis courts.
