   Schuerman, who is in her seventh year as head  coach most recently was an Exceptional Student Education teacher in physical science and chemistry and head coach of the women's softball team at Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Fla.

   In the 2014 season, she led her team in claiming the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 8A State Championship title with a record of 28-3. For her accomplishments, she was named the Florida High School Athletic Association 8A Coach of the Year, Tampa Tribune Overall Female Coach of the Year and the Florida Dairy Farmers Softball Coach of the Year.

   Previous experience includes serving as the assistant coach and pitching coach at Florida International University in Miami and assistant softball coach and health science adjunct professor at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC.

   During her college career, Schuerman was a pitcher/utility player at the University of Florida (UF). She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and was inducted into the UF Athletic Honor Society. Schuerman was Southeasten Conference (SEC) Player of the Year and All-Academic SEC member. She also served as a softball camp counselor at UF.
