Softball Legend, Keltie Christian O'Dell, Inducted in FCSAA Hall of Fame

Bradenton, Fla - Softball legend, Keltie Christian O'Dell, was inducted in to the Florida College System Activities Association Softball Hall of Fame.  The award was presented at the FCSAA Awards banquet before the start of the state tournament in Sanford, Florida.  O'Dell was a former student-athlete and coach at State College of Florida.

O'Dell played for then Manatee Community College from 1997-1999.  She was twice named All-Conference and All-State.  In her sophomore season, she earned All-American honors.  She was, also, named the Suncoast Conference Pitcher of the year in 1999.  In that season she struck out 338 in 238 innings pitched. She transferred to Florida Southern and hold set various pitching records in her career as a Moc.

The Manatee High School alumna was the head coach at MHS for for years.  She served two years at pitching coach for State College of Florida under then head coach Meredith Headings.  She was inducted in the SCF Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
