Manatees Beat Florida Southwestern, 5-2

Bradenton, Fla - State College of Florida defeated Florida Southwestern, 5-3, at Wynn Field. With the game tied 3-3 in the 8th inning, Ryan Karstetter  hit a run scoring double to give the Manatees the lead.  Later in the inning, Tyler Romanik drove home a run with a sacrifice fly to deep center to give SCF a 5-3 lead.

Reliever, Logan Lyle, earned the win on the mound.  He tossed the final 2.2 innings allowed no runs on two hits and struck out seven.  He worked out of a bases loaded jam in the 7th with two strike outs.  Brendon Little was the starting pitcher.  He threw five innings allowing two runs on five hits and while striking out five.

Reilly Johnson lead the Manatees with three hits. Austin James hit a solo home run and drove in two runs.  Jaren Shelby hit a double while Rougie Odor had two hits.

With the win SCF improved to 18-9-1 on the season and 4-1 in Suncoast Conference play.
