Avon Park, Fla - State College of Florida (SCF) opened up conference play with a loss to South Florida State College SFSC 8-7.The Panthers scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 9thinning to get the win.
Down 7-3 heading into the top of the 9th inning, SCF scored 4 runs to tie the game only to give it away in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Tyler Romanik had 2 hits and an RBI while Garrett Hall had an RBI double.
SCF (15-8, 0-1) hosts SFSC Wednesday at 6:00.
