Baseball Outlasts University of Tampa JV

Bradenton, Fla - State College of Florida (SCF) defeated the University of Tampa JV Tuesday night in Tampa, 12-10.  SCF jumped out to a 10-0 lead and held on for the win. 

Starting pitcher Scott Kelly picked up the win to improve his record to 4-0 and Jeremy Orbik picked up his first save of the season.  Catcher Jose Lopez was 2-3 with a solo home run and 2 walks while Tyler Romanik had 2 hits including a solo home run.  Jared Pruett had 3 hits and 2 RBIs, Keshawn Lynch had 2 hits, 2 RBIs and 2 stolen bases, Reilly Johnson had 2 hits, an RBI and a stolen base, Ryan Miller hit an RBI triple and Michael Gizzi hit a 2 run single and stole 2 bases. 

SCF improved to 12-6 on the season.  The same two teams will face off Wednesday March 2nd at Robert C. Wynn Field at 6:00 pm.
