Fall Schedules for Baseball & Softball Announced

Do you love baseball? The Rays’ season is over and baseball in the great state of Florida will not start again until Spring Training 2019 – or will it?

The State College of Florida has a robust Fall baseball schedule that features many returning stars from last year’s 44-win club. This includes pitcher Hunter Perdue, who was tied for second in wins in the state and ranked as a top draft prospect for the 2019 MLB Draft. Starting catcher Josh Crouch, who is committed to the University of Central Florida, ranked 10th nationally in runners caught stealing.

Softball also has a robust fall schedule where fans can come out to support many future Division I softball players. Fans can come out starting in October with scrimmage dates on October 16th, 20th, 24th, 26th, and 27th. Additionally, there is one date in November, November 7th vs. the Sarasota Heat at 6 pm.

The purpose of the Fall schedule is to provide student-athletes with a chance to fine tune their skills before their regular seasons begin in the Spring of 2019. Additionally, this provides walk-on and tryout players a chance to carve out a role on an intercollegiate sports team.

All games are open to the public and there is no charge for admission. Sit back, relax, and come support the future stars of tomorrow before it’s too late!
